Almost surreal up close, Taipei 101 is currently the 2nd tallest office building in the world standing at 509 metres or 1,671 feet.

“Enlightened”
This Thailand Monk was studying a book when I spotted him sitting in the shade under a tree in Da’an Park, Taipei. As I approached he looked up and greeted me with warm eyes and I said, “Hello.” He smiled and nodded as I crouched down across from him and we chatted for a minute, I asked where he was from, he said “Thailand.” I asked what he was reading, he said “Buddhist Scriptures.” He asked me where I was from and what I was doing in Taiwan, and I told him I was from Canada and that I am in Taiwan mastering photography. He smiled again and agreed to let me take his picture.
Taipei Cityscape
As you can probably tell I love using tilt shift lenses for travel photography as well as cityscapes. This shot was taken from a mountain just on the outskirts of Taipei City. Just far enough away to enjoy the quiet but just close enough to still hear traffic in the distance. For more check out http://www.stevendomjancic.com
Rooftop Adventure
Always looking for interesting perspectives I ended up on a rooftop here. One of the things I enjoy most about getting shots like this is feeling the city, listening to the sounds, becoming a part of the night. The street is Zhongxiao East Rd near the corner of Guang Fu. Lens used here was my favourite, Canon 24mm TS-E.
Rush Hour
Finding an interesting spot to shoot is never far in Taipei City. I took this picture while laying down on a median in the middle of the busy intersection, Keelung & Zhongxiao during rush hour traffic. The officer directs traffic as a commuter waits patiently to cross. In the background you can see Taipei 101, one of the worlds tallest buildings.
