A few months ago I had the opportunity to be in a commercial for Olympus Hong Kong. It was an interesting experience being in front of a camera and not behind it. This was shot in Kaohsiung and Kenting in southern Taiwan.

Betel Nut Beauty
“Ting Ting” has been working as a Betel Nut girl for about 6 months.
Here are a few still frames from a documentary I’m making about Betel Nut. I’ve been wanting to shoot a documentary for a while now and decided this would be a good topic to get my “feet wet” with. Stay tuned, the film should be complete by the end of this month.

Continuing my quest to shoot Taipei 101 in every colour from the best viewpoints around Taipei City. Tonight was perfectly clear and Taipei 101 looked spectacular in magenta LED. Only one colour left to add to my collection and it happens to be my favourite colour – BLUE!

Twilight Taipei

I had to return the spot I was at the other night to get a picture with my usual camera and lens (5D Mark2 & 24mm TS), not my iPhone. In this picture you can see Taipei 101 and the W Hotel surrounded my commercial & retail buildings as well as the Taipei World Trade Center.
Missed Opportunity

I don’t usually post pictures taken with my iphone but in this case I had to, my 5D2 was busy time lapsing a different spot. The way the lights looked at this location was almost magical this night.

Almost surreal up close, Taipei 101 is currently the 2nd tallest office building in the world standing at 509 metres or 1,671 feet.

This bridge is located in the Songshan District, Taipei City.
I don’t shoot during the day often, I’m more of a sunset & nighttime photographer, but I still have a hard time resisting blue sky and nice clouds.
